Today is Monday, May 1. In exactly seven weeks the team departs for Tanzania!
Yesterday, was a fundraising-filled Sunday. It started out at 7:00am in the kitchen of Lou Ann’s with seven of our nine team members and four gracious volunteers making burritos. At 9:30am, half the team headed in one direction of Hollister to sell breakfast burritos at the Hollister Campus, while the other half headed south to sell plants. Both activities are helping us reach our financial goals as did the plant sale we had last Sunday in Gilroy.

Monthly we have two team members host the team and create a time for team-building activities. Through this team building we have grown to know each others personalities and how to work together before we leave on our STM. All of the time the team has spent together will be priceless knowing how to best support each otherthings get stressful when we are out in the mission field.
April 16, Devan & Taylor served a tri-tip dinner, and designed a “virtual” game where we competed by answering biblically based questions and some Tanzania fun facts. We had to quickly input our decision on our phones and watch the progress on the TV screen. Points were based on how accurately and quickly we responded. No, we weren’t practicing our VBS skit, here, but giving “charade” clues to Dan!

Poor, Dan, he is the one that has to guess what we are acting out and he is wondering which person shall he watch?
Are team has put together a Team Needs List. If you would like to help, please purchase any of the items on our Amazon registry and it will be shipped directly to the Church office.
Our prayer is that SVCC will be a place where you and your family can grow and connect. No matter where you are in life, our desire is to equip you with the truth of the gospel, and provide an environment that fosters a deeper relationship with God and His Church.
