SVCC is committed to advancing the Kingdom in our own community through our Local Mission ministries, which include working with the homeless, family work days, and close partnerships with local nonprofit organizations.
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hangups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.
25 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 17000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

Located in Gilroy, everyday, Informed Choices provides hope, compassion, and practical support to women facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy. All their services are free and confidential and offered in a safe environment by trained staff and peer counselors. These services are offered free of charge because of generous gifts from donors. You can serve in many ways to support this ministry.
Beverage Containers ONLY - Aluminum, Glass, CRV Plastic. Every dollar raised in the Recycling Program will be used in support of Local Mission Programs at South Valley Community Church. Look for the recycle bins in the parking lot behind the Gilroy Campus.
SVCC supports our local homeless population through Gilroy Compassion Center and Sobrato Transitional Housing by supplying dairy and other perishable food items which are donated by a local grocery store. The donations are also used for walk-ins needing assistance and other ministries that take place through SVCC. We are always in need of volunteers to be a part of the pickup and delivery team.
Every year SVCC creates a one day, registration-required store where low-income parents can come to choose, pick up, and wrap gifts for their own families. Rather than delivering gifts, SVCC believes in a program where parents can leave feeling dignified. But to do this well, during the season of Christmas we need everyone to participate by donating toys and gifts for the store. Join us in giving our community a helping hand every Christmas.
More information will be available on Sundays staring in fall.
Every Fall SVCC partners with Upward Sports the world’s largest Christian youth sports provider. Through flag football our goal is to develop athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. Through Upward Sports flag football SVCC is able to promote the Discovery of Jesus.
